What we aim for
The aim is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a target for how the pages are built. It is not a certificate, and WC CKS has not commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit of this website.
How the pages are built
- Each page has one main heading and a skip link to the content.
- Navigation, breadcrumbs, and the quote form use text labels. Form fields stay labeled even if the browser’s built-in checks are turned off.
- The quote form can be completed and sent with or without JavaScript. Server-side checks still run.
- Menus use the native disclosure element, so they open from the keyboard.
- Photographs include text alternatives that describe the decoration in the frame.
- Body text and interface text use dark olive or charcoal on ivory, or ivory on dark olive, rather than light champagne for small type.
- The layout reflows on a narrow screen. Motion is limited, and reduced-motion settings remove the remaining transitions.
- The site does not publish PDF documents.
Known limits
The office map is provided by Google and loads only after a button press. A map from a third party may not meet the same level of access as the rest of the page. The street address, email, and phone are available without loading it, and a text link opens the location in Google Maps.
If a browser does not support the date field, the wedding date can be left blank. The field is optional.
Images suggest decoration ideas. The written description of each service is on its own page.
If a page gets in the way
If you cannot use part of wccks.com, contact the studio and say which page and what happened. WC CKS will take a reasonable step to provide the same information another way, such as by email or by phone.
